Weather Channel’s Founder: Global Warm Biggest Scam in History

Once upon a time in 1982, John Coleman, meteorologist, founded a cable TV weather station called The Weather Channel. He has devoted his life to the field and I consider him a pretty solid source of expertise.
So, when I read his comments on the website ICECAP, I was pretty impressed. Not just that he stated his expert opinion so boldly, but that a guy with his credentials had the balls to say what has to be said and said again and said over and over until someone listens.
His opening salvo…and you have to love his no-nonsense approach:
It is the greatest scam in history. I am amazed, appalled and highly offended by it. Global Warming; It is a SCAM. Some dastardly scientists with environmental and political motives manipulated long term scientific data to create an illusion of rapid global warming. Other scientists of the same environmental whacko type jumped into the circle to support and broaden the “research” to further enhance the totally slanted, bogus global warming claims. Their friends in government steered huge research grants their way to keep the movement going. Soon they claimed to be a consensus.
Don’t hold back John, tell us how you really feel (emphasis mine):
I have read dozens of scientific papers. I have talked with numerous scientists. I have studied. I have thought about it. I know I am correct. There is no run away climate change. The impact of humans on climate is not catastrophic. Our planet is not in peril. I am incensed by the incredible media glamour, the politically correct silliness and rude dismissal of counter arguments by the high priest of Global Warming.
It’s great…and he doesn’t care. He has nothing to lose. But in this sick world, the poor guy will probably face an outpouring of green attacks. I hope not. I will defend him with every ounce of strength our fledgling site has if it does.
More good stuff:
In time, a decade or two, the outrageous scam will be obvious. As the temperature rises, polar ice cap melting, coastal flooding and super storm pattern all fail to occur as predicted everyone will come to realize we have been duped. The sky is not falling. And, natural cycles and drifts in climate are as much if not more responsible for any climate changes underway. I strongly believe that the next twenty years are equally as likely to see a cooling trend as they are to see a warming trend.

jeez. what perfect irony. global warming is the greatest scam in history, yet somehow, the founder of the weather channel has absolutely nothing to do with it. oh, and by the way. he KNOWS he’s right. yessiree bob. the weatherman says there’s a 100% chance of conspiracy. that’s just priceless.
